USA Residential Roof Resiliency Initiative

Problem: The most vulnerable manufactured homes in North America provide no safe shelter in storms. subject to both uplift and flying debris, we need to address the fragility of many millions of our homes.

Solution: while increasing the property values of relatively “unimproved” home sites and simultaneously protecting the safety of our residents, by installing a quonset hut over the top of existing manufactured homes, we can both protect our most vulnerable communities while drastically increasing the resiliency of the home’s infrastructure. by “adding” a barrier to the elements from sun, heat, cold, and dangerous weather, we increase the lifespan of all of the weatherizing components of a building’s exterior finishes, in some cases increasing the lifespan of a shingle roof by an estimated 2-5x longer.
